As last chair reached the summit yesterday afternoon the flakes began falling from the sky and over night we picked up a healthy dose of fresh snow.  As of the initial report this morning we've already accumulated 4-6" of fluffy powder and it continues to come down in a hurry.  While the primary surfaces remained edgeable packed powder yesterday, we're sure happy to see some new snow piling up.  Today's forecast calls for a 70% chance of snow showers this morning with a high temperature around 20 degrees.  Skiers can expect predominantly soft powder and packed powder conditions on our steeps, amongst the trees and along the low angle groomers.  There are plenty of terrain choices for all ability levels here at Mad River Glen; our famous steeps have moguls dotting the slopes for the advanced and expert skiers.  Our novice and intermediate terrain was buffed out over night leaving seamless corduroy and refreshed surfaces for skiers today.  For the adventurous spirit there are limitless options amongst our trees, just duck in and poke around and you're sure to find yourself in a winter wonderland.  Skiers will have access to 100% of our legendary main mountain terrain serviced by the Single Chair and Sunnyside Double from 9:00 AM until 4 PM while the Callie's Corner Handle Tow will operate from 10 to 3.
