By the end of the day yesterday precipitation had started with some light snow flurries. In the early evening hours those flurries changed over to freezing rain. The forecast for Tuesday is calling for a mix of rain and freezing rain with a high temperature in the upper 30s. In light of the current conditions and overall forecast we have decided to suspend operations for today. We’re going to let Mother Nature do what she will and hope that to get some snow on the back end of the system. The mountain will be closed entirely on Tuesday and we are hopeful that we can re-open with quality skiing on Wednesday. Rest assured we’ve already looked into the mountain operations playbook and our offensive line primed and ready to go. The moment temperatures return to seasonable norms we will fire up the snow guns and send out the cats to put things back together. As every New England Patriots fan knows all we need is a chance and great things can happen so keep your fingers and toes crossed.
