We scored just a bit of the white stuff on Sunday morning and it never ceases to amaze us how even a micro-snowfall can significantly amp up the surface conditions. We are in the heart of the winter season and are enjoying some terrific skiing conditions and the most exciting news is that our esteemed weather prognosticator from the Single Chair Weather Blog says we have a shot for some significant snowfall starting as early as this evening. If you have been waiting to ski Mad River Glen with the opportunity to explore all this legendary mountain has to offer, the time to do it is now. It's going to be a chilly one today but it will be worth bundling up to enjoy the sweet skiing conditions. We'll have 100% of our main mountain terrain open today serviced by 3 of 5 lifts from 9 AM to 4 PM. Our famous woods and glades have glorious packed powder coverage. The trails offer up magnificent packed powder too along with fluffy puffs on the tops of moguls and along the trail edge with just enough firmness underneath to remind you that, yes, this is still New England. Overnight the cats were on the loose laying out the corduroy carpet on a nice selection of our trails and are skiing superbly right meow.
