So What's the story on MRG Closing?
Is today really the last day? The answer is.... probably not! With the base as deep as it is we'd really like to keep things going. The weather forecast are calling for rain and very warm temps early in the week so we will shut the mountain down temporarily after Sunday. We hope to re-open on Friday and the rest of the April 16-17 weekend. Frankly our concern at this point is that the mountain may be "rotten" if the nighttime temps are as warm as they say they are going to be early next week. We will make a definitive call on Thursday morning. Rest assured that no one loves spring skiing more than the MRG staff and we are really psyched up to give our skiers as much of it as we can. Sorry to be so vague with the details, but we are doing our best to keep the season going . So stay tuned for the latest info.

keeping fingers crossed for no rot.

Well folks the "Fat Lady" has sung! Unfortunately rain, balmy weather and (most of all) Monday's downpours, warm south wind, fog, and exceedingly warm temps did in our base forcing us to bring the 2011 ski season to an end. We tried to extend it, but it was not meant to be. Thanks to all our loyal Mad River Glen Co-op shareholders!

ya, after a shaky start, it was a good year...i noticed that the weekends didn't seem to have the huge lines I have experienced in the past, and the mid week days seemed a bit busier than in the past. is this a trend? did anyone else notice this? I wonder what this might mean for the business modeling, and future plans...does it mean more retired folks are skiing? more vacations being taken mid week, off vacations? coincidence...just some food for thought. I would like to especially thank all those responsible for helping to get this forum working better, and getting folks involved. the co op thrives because of its members commitment and communication...we need a way to stay involved.

oh one last comment, the food at General Starks was outstanding this year!
