Hope this new message board is accepted by the members.
Getting over the initial "learning curve" I think it will be of tremendous benefit to all.

The biggest problem that I found with the list serv implementation was that members lost track of, or did not have/save previous posts and were not current on the discussion.

If we make an effort to maintain sensible discussion threads/topics and post into them sensibly it will be easy to look over a discussion as it evolved/progressed and contribute intelligently.

In navigating prior posts, it is not clear to me just which post this reply is going to be a response to.

Also, I created a signature in profile, so my habit of typing my name at the end clearly became redundant.

Let's see where this winds up....

I did an edit on this post after. It did in fact post as a new(third) post and not a reply to the first in this thread.

Seems only way to reply to an earlier post is to use the quote feature.
Will try that now.

Next post will be an attempt to reply to the first post in this thread.

This should confirm that "post a reply" is to the thread (adds a new message) not a reply to what you are looking at.

The quote feature may reply to first on (where I selected quote) - we'll see. I want to specifically reply to the first post.
