DESCRIPTION:The Stark Mountain Foundation is excited to announce a new series of free\, family-friendly naturalist hikes on Stark Mountain\, led by Vermont Master Naturalist Gene O. Desideraggio. These guided hikes offer a unique opportunity to explore the mountain’s diverse ecosystems throughout the changing seasons. From vibrant spring wildflowers to the brilliant colors of fall foliage\, participants will immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the Green Mountains. Along the way\, Gene will help hikers discover signs of wildlife\, listen for bird calls echoing through the forest\, spot animal tracks on the trail\, or even find a well-worn bear tree. \nAfter each hike\, participants are invited to unwind at the Mad River Glen Stark’s Pub\, where they can grab a bite or a drink and enjoy the stunning mountain views. \nThe hikes are free\, but registration is required and space is limited. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Sunday afternoon of live music at Mad River Glen! Evan Jennison and friends will be playing live bluegrass from 1:00 until 4:00 PM. If the weather cooperates Evan and company will set up on the deck of the Basebox. We’ll have yard games set out for your enjoyment and encourage you to bring towels and folding chairs to create a micro-music festival scene! The Mad Shack will also be open to serve food and cold beverages including beer\, wine and non-alcoholic options. In the event we encounter less-than-ideal weather conditions the band will setup indoors. Come up to the mountain and boogie down\, rain or shine!
