Dig out those stretch pants, runaway straps and bamboo poles of yesteryear and celebrate Skiing History Day at Mad River Glen with the International Skiing History Association (ISHA) and Skiing History magazine. Mark the calendar for Friday, Feb. 28, and don some of your vintage ski wear and join fellow ski history buffs for a day on one of America’s most iconic ski areas. In fact, Mad River is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Wax nostalgic and celebrate Mad River’s legendary 72-year history. All are welcome to join in this ski down memory lane as we explore Mad River Glen’s unique place in skiing history.
Check in on the 3rd floor of the Base Box, pick-up your goodie bag and lift ticket and find your Mountain guide. Following the morning of skiing, a noon buffet luncheon awaits registrants who will join Mad River Glen notables, ISHA members and long-time Valley ski fans on the 3rd floor of the Base Box. Luncheon attendees, who are encouraged to wear vintage attire, will receive one raffle ticket for a series of prizes. The pre-purchased Lift Ticket & Lunch package is just $64; lunch-only option; $15.
