Internships
Mad River Glen’s Naturalist Program is need of interns on a year-round basis. Length of commitment and responsibilities are flexible. We are seeking motivated students who are interested in environmental education, adventure programs, and recreation management to assist with a wide variety of projects, as well as providing support for our naturalist field-trips. Willingness to learn and positive attitude are the most important qualities that we are seeking. We can work with you to develop an internship suited to your interests and academic requirements.

Internships may be focused on any of the following:

• Summer, fall, and winter naturalist programs for kids and adults.
• Design, develop, and/or install interpretive displays for Nature center, trails and other locations at Mad River Glen.
• Plan and develop and new snowshoe trails, including trail marking, clearing, and maintenance.
• Research and design new programs or curriculum for kids or adults.
• Internet research, web site improvements, database management.
• Marketing and publicity for our Naturalist programs.
• Gain teaching and leading experience while working with the public.
• Design and create educational materials about wildlife, forests, or ecology.
