  •  5 Total Lifts – (1) Single, (3) Doubles, (1) Handle Tow
  • The Single Chair is Mad River Glen’s icon
  • Originally built in 1948 and historically restored in 2007
  • It is the only Single Chair in the lower 48 states and one of only two in North America (the other one is at Mount Eyak in Cordova,  Alaska)
  • It is the fastest fixed grip lift in North America at 600’/minute with a ride time of 9 1/2 minutes (Really!)
  • 53 Marked Trails (20% novice, 35% intermediate, 45% expert)
  • 115 acres of trails, plus 800 acres of tree skiing access
  • 15% Snowmaking Coverage  – (All below 2200’ elevation. Basically the high traffic, low elevation terrain on the main mountain and top to bottom on the Practice Slope lift)

  • Average Ski Season Length: 113 days, mid-December to mid-April

The Mad River Glen Cooperative

  • Founded in December 1995
  • America’s only cooperatively owned ski area
  • 2200 shares owned by approximately 1,800 individual shareholders
  • Shareholders represent approximately 35-40% of the mountains revenues meaning that non-shareholders are critical to Mad River Glen’s sustainability.
